Listening
to Public Safety Radio using
Teamspeak
My feed broadcasts on
the New England Scanner Feeds server hosted by ScanMass/Scan Cape Cod,
look for the MetroFire channel.
Another
excellent teamspeak server is hosted by the Incident Broadcast Network,
their server hosts feeds from across the U.S. & Canada. You will need to
register on the server to be able to listen, follow the link below for
easy instructions. Now that you have Teamspeak there is a list of active server addresses below that you can add & save in Teamspeak. To do this when Teamspeak is open Click> Connection> Connect, this will open the "Connect to Server" window, be sure the "Local Addressbook" Tab is selected Right Click anywhere on the white area, Select> Add Server, you will now see a small box with the words "New Server" highlighted, change the name to whatever server it is, such as, ScanMass or IBN, Left click & you will now see the name appear in the right column, that is the "Server Address" box, Enter the address Exactly as it appears below ( only what appears in BLUE). If you wish you can enter a name in the "Nickname" box, if you do not put a check in the "Allow server to assign a nickname" box and click the "Anonymous" box you will be entering as a guest with a number, "Guest 1". You are now ready to click the "Connect" button, once connected if you are not in a channel that has "Instructions for using the server" Look for it & put yourself in that channel AND READ & FOLLOW the Instructions!! Many of the servers require that you register before you can move about to the different channels, to do this on top of the TS window Click> Self> Register With Server, this will open a box where you will enter a Login Name then enter a Password twice. Now you can move about the server by clicking on any of the active channels, an active channel will be a user name followed by (R CA), to enter a channel click the channel name which will have a square box in front of it. There are several options for using chat, to send a message to an individual channel "Right click" the channel name and select "Send message to channel", Right clicking" a channel name will also give the option to "Send message to all", this is usually to notify everyone on the server of an active incident. You can also send a message to just one user "Right click" that users name & select "Send message to player". Teamspeak Server Addresses
