Using your computer to listen to live feeds
|
There are various ways to listen live scanner feeds over the internet, I will describe a couple of them that I use or know something about & provide simple instructions that should help you begin listening. Some feeds are provided by embedded players in a web page, opening the page usually automatically starts it playing. Others provide a clickable link that will open the feed in whatever your default media player is. Still another way to listen is using an application called Teamspeak that requires a small download to your computer after which you can connect to a growing number or Teamspeak servers that provide Public Safety feeds. My feed can be heard 2 ways one is on the ScanMass Teamspeak server , Using Butel's ARC

in or copy/paste the address exactly as shown. Now that you know what to do
with a feed address here is a list of addresses. I have listened to all
these feeds very recently so they all should work. However, there may be
times when any of these may be unavailable. If the clickable links do not
work or does not open in your preferred player you need to copy/paste or type them exactly as they are written
beginning with http://....
**Note**
Though I have recently played all these feeds there may be times that some that will not connect. There are several reasons a feed will not
play, the broadcaster has taken it temporarily off-line (not all feeds are
24/7), there is a problem with the feeds internet connection, the feed has
a dynamic IP address & it has changed, or it has simply been
discontinued. Also, these feeds can only support a maximum number of
listeners at any given time due too bandwidth limitations, it is always
possible that the feed has reached that limit, wait a while & try again. Some of the feeds offer text tags, others just audio
